Damaris brings ample experience in business management and innovation to Planet4People. She focuses on promoting economic development models that integrate performance improvement, social benefits, organizational strength and environmental responsibility. Damaris has been engaged in training and capacity building for businesses, including agriculture, forestry, and tourism. She has extensive experience in working with businesses to attain certification. With a master’s degree in project management and on in ecotourism planning, Damaris brings a wide-ranging experience in strategic planning and project management. She has directed international cooperation projects for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), German Technical Cooperation (GIZ), Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Rainforest Alliance, among others. Her academic work has been linked to sustainable business management at universities in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
