Ernestina combines the university and academic world as a Post-graduate Professor in Spain and Costa Rica with her consultancy work specializing in tourism, business management and sustainable development. Currently, she carries out her Ph.D. research about New Economics, the Fourth Sector and the application in the tourism sector of the 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
As researcher, she is part of CETUR, the Tourist Research University Centre based in Madrid, where advice, technical assistance, training and applied research is offered to companies and public institutions, which are related to the travel and tourism industry. Ernestina is vice president of Sannas, the Enterpreneurs Association for the Triple Bottom Line, as well as founding member and partner of the Center for Social Innovation and New Economics (CISNE), whose objective is to facilitate the transformation of the economy in the territory. She is member of the Consultative Council of the Argentine Foundation Plan21, specialized in regenerative development of territories and tourist destinations.
