In an effort to demonstrate the value of sustainable tourism certification, Ecotourism Ireland engaged Plantet4People to train businesses interesed in certification in three areas: understanding the value of certification; getting ready for certification; positionining a certified business in the market place.
Ecotourism Ireland is the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s recognized certification of Ireland. Its goal is to assist ecotourism enterprises to approach tourism in a more sustainable way, minimizing the impacts of the businesses; while creating cost savings and value for its members.
Planet4People delivers capacity building and training courses on and off-line. Courses off line are recommended for less than 20 people. Online courses can vary depending on the objective. Planet4People will work with your organization to desing the appropriate courses in topics such as: creating sustainable businesses; implementing sustainable standards; stakeholder engagement processes; protected area management and livelihoods; amongst others.
